After standing in line for a while with my mom, dad, Tim and Corinne, we thought this wouldn't happen. I was sure we'd get a picture with Santa while Corinne was pitching a fit. She kept saying, "But I don't wanna see Santa!" Great. I can't even remember all my mom and I tried saying to convince her to do it. Then, when it was her turn, I rushed right up to Santa and gave him a huge hug. It obviously worked ;-) She then proceeded to tell him she wanted a puppy (sorry babe, not this year) and a dollhouse. Thankfully, Santa made good on the dollhouse request. Though I doubt many will see this post (I would have given up by now if I were you...) we hope your Christmas holiday was filled with love, family, and a renewed appreciation for our Savior, Jesus Christ. Love to all!

The SLACKER returns! I feel so guilty that I've failed to document all that's happened in the past 6 months! I keep telling myself I'll go back to post Halloween, Christmas, Corinne's 2nd birthday, etc. But no promises! I really do stink at keeping a journal. I thought having a child would change all that... Thought WRONG! Now I just feel more guilt! Anyways, I took Corinne in to the doctor for her well visit yesterday and here are her stats:

Height: 36" (75th percentile)

Weight: 25.3 lbs (20%)

Head Circumference: 18 3/4" (50%)

So there ya have it. We are thrilled she's finally above the 10th percentile for weight! Wahoo! You grow girl!

We recently took her to Hawaii and have literally thousands of pictures! One day I'll take on that post! Love to all!

Just had to record the cutest thing Corinne just did. We were working on phonics and when she got the letter and sound right, I said, "Way to go Corinne! Good Job! Gimme five!" She then proceeded to give me a high-five but added, "Knuckles." I busted up laughing as I we hit fists. Oh, the things they say and do! I love being a mom!

Here's our little diva chillin' in her new wagon. She absolutely LOVES it! Thank you Gaga and Gampa Smith!

The following week I took her to the park just before nap time. I felt like such a terrible mom when she crashed on the way home! She was out! I tried to cushion her head with the diaper bag because there was no waking her up! I marvel at how babies can sleep in the strangest places and positions!

So sweet! I love her so much!

Corinne's 1st Birthday!

Corinne Lynae turned ONE on January 2, 2009! Here's a few pics from her birthday party! We celebrated on January 17th. It was a perfect day with beautiful weather. I'm so glad we'll get to celebrate her birthday each year when it's COOL!

Trip to Flagstaff!

We stopped at Montezuma's Castle on our way up to Flagstaff. It was really cool. Tim had been once before, but this was my first time. It reminded me of when I wanted to be an archeologist. Once I learned I had to be gifted in math to pursue that vocation, I quickly changed my mind!

But I've always had an appreciation for historical sites such as this. It certainly is a hidden gem in northern Arizona!

Corinne quite enjoyed the little walk as well. The weather was absolutely beautiful. I love these massive trees and their fall-colored leaves.

And oh, how we love this little princess!

Tim & I can't think of a greater gift than our sweet baby girl. My, how fast this first year has gone... We look forward to our future together!

I am certainly the world's WORST blogger! Bear with me as I play "catch up" for the past few months... Shall we begin with Halloween??!

Of course, we visited Corinne's BFF (cousin Breezy) in the hospital. This little beauty received her first round of chemo that day. I am continually amazed at her strength as well as that of her wonderful parents! We just KNOW that she'll get better soon. Thank you again to those who continue to pray, fast and render service in her behalf.

Isn't she a doll? Sweet Baby Minnie! I love that both girls were dressed up as Disney characters! And no, Kari and I didn't plan that! It was BFF destiny!

This is about the only "treat" she got for Halloween... Her "ba ba"!

The power of prayer and fasting...

Good news yesterday!!! The doctors and pathologists are fairly certain than Bree's cancer is in the intermediate stage. We are still waiting for final word on the pathology of her tissue sample, but as far as the bone marrow is concerned, intermediate is most likely the case. This is wonderful news considering the vast difference between the two classifications (intermediate risk vs. high risk). She begins chemotherapy this afternoon. Please pray for her swift response to the treatment!!!

Yesterday Bree was happy, active and just being her adorable little self. She is reaching for toys and smiling a ton. I just love that Angel Baby Bree!!! We are hoping she and the family will be discharged on Sunday. There are plans for a more in-depth bone scan (called an MIBG) the following Tuesday, which we hope they can do as an out-patient procedure.

Thank you all for your prayers and fasting. I have no doubt that God is aware of us and blesses our lives when we put our faith and trust in Him. Please continue to pray and fast for this beautiful little girl and her family. It may be a long road ahead, but we're all willing to press forward along with her!!!

I'll try to keep everyone posted... Kari wants to either set up a separate blog for Bree or post to her original blog when she has the time. I'll let all of you know what the link is as soon as I know. Again, thank you for your concern, fasting, prayers and service and their behalf!!! More news to come...

Pray for me...Angel Baby Bree

Though many of you already know, here is an update on my angel baby niece, Bree Cook. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer on Monday night. Kari called her pediatrician because Bree developed shiners that wouldn't go away. Upon examination, Dr. Carroll noted that her left kidney was slightly enlarged. Thank heaven that her doctor is both qualified and in tune with the spirit. He consulted with a specialist who then recommended they go directly to the ER. It was there that they did blood work, an ultrasound and a CT scan. The tests revealed a 5 cm X 6 cm malignant tumor (located between her left kidney and adrenal gland) called a neuroblastoma. Though this is an aggressive type of cancer, it is treatable. Unfortunately, it has metastasized and she is in Stage IV. But doctors believe chemotherapy will fight it. They did a bone scan today and found cancer in a portion of her orbital (eye) bones--hence the black eyes. It is also in several of her lymph nodes, the pancreas, liver and bone marrow. But the fact that it is, so far, only in the calcified portion of the eye bones is a very good thing! It will then be easier to treat. She will have a more in-depth bone scan on Friday, and we should also get the results from her biopsy. It will then be determined whether she is considered to be at an Intermediate Risk or High Risk...yet another classification.

PLEASE, PLEASE keep her and her sweet family in your prayers. I believe in miracles... especially when collectively we have FAITH. We hope to set up some sort of care page for updates in the future. Either that or blog posts. That way, it frees up Kari and Justin from having to repeatedly update everyone via phone. THANK YOU to all who have already lent a helping hand and for your faith, fasting and prayers.

9 Month Check-up!

My daughter is a bean pole. She has not gained ANY weight since her last doctors appointment! In fact, she lost an ounce! But the doctor told me I shouldn't be alarmed. She's progressing beautifully in all other areas... thank heaven! She really puts down the solid food, but she's not huge on finishing her bottles. Oh yeah, she self-weaned a few weeks ago... much to my dismay! So, it's all formula for the next few months.

She's into EVERYTHING these days. Very busy... Perhaps that's why she doesn't gain any weight! She's SO close to crawling, but hasn't quite mastered that yet. She scoots, rolls and sort of army crawls to whatever she can get her hands on! We are loving every minute with her! Here's a cute pic of her in the tub... well, sink. I know, I know! It's easier for me to bathe her there though! And at the rate we're going, she'll fit in there 'til she's 7. Haa! ;-D

Weight: 14 lbs. 11 oz. (3rd %...yes, you read that right)

Height: 28.5 inches (75th %)

It's that time again!!! Football season! Only this time, Corinne gets to attend the games outside the womb! She looked so cute in her little ASU Cheerleader outfit!!

Corinne got to see her "boyfriend" Koston Bawden. He's such a cutie! While they were flirting, Tim and I visited with his parents, Kim and Jordan. He and Tim are partners at Wells Fargo, and Kim and I went to hygiene school together. We just love them!

Unfortunately, she didn't last long...

She passed out in spite of the crowd noise and fireworks! We had a great time... GO DEVILS!!

Holy cow! Sorry it's been FOREVER since I've posted something new! I'm so terrible at this blogging thing... Anyway, here are a few pics of what we've been up to!

So Corinne makes this face all the time now... It's hilarious! If you can imagine, she blows air in and out of her nose very audibly while making this expression. We die laughing every time!

We've been up to Overgaard a few times since the 4th, and Corinne loves this swing in front of Nana and Papa's cabin!

She also REALLY loves marshmallows!

4th of July Fun!!

Corinne took her first road trip this weekend! We drove up to Nana & Papa Reed's cabin in Overgaard to escape the heat! She LOVED it! We've decided she is a mountain girl... she loves the outdoors! Sweet Aunt Lindsey made her this red, white and blue tutu! She experienced a few "firsts" while we were there, namely sweet potatoes (which she loves...), lemonade through a straw (yep, all by herself!!), gnawing on a steak bone (I know... but it's a Reed Family tradition!), a parade and fireworks! We were worried the fireworks would scare her, but she seemed to enjoy them while snuggling up to me in the cool weather. Surprisingly, she fell asleep about 10 minutes into the show! We had such a fun time with Nana, Papa, Lindsey, Clay and the boys!!

Finally...we have a blog!
